Top questions about our dance socials
Do I need dance experience
Not at all. Our friendly staff will be on hand throughout the night to show you the ropes. Plus our students are super friendly and will make you feel comfortable dancing with them. It is a no pressure, safe environment.
Already a seasoned dancer? No worries. Come along and enjoy the evening dancing with a group of people from all skill levels and ability.
How many people usually attend
It completely depends on the time of the year, but there’ll be between 15 and 30 people. A comfortable number that keeps it friendly and social.
Do I need to dress up for the theme
No. If you don’t feel like dressing up that is fine. Just wear something that is smart and casual.
Is there a group class before
We have stopped offering the beginners group class before the social. If you feel you need some lessons before attending a social, we have some great short courses that will have you comfortable dancing to 4 styles of dance. They run at different times of the year, so plan ahead if you want to complete the course before attending your first social.
Alternatively, you can enrol in our Footsteps program. This is specifically designed for beginners who want to be able to social dance. It includes a mixture of private and group classes, and the social is included in the cost of the program.
I need to cancel my tickets
All ticket sales to our dance socials are a firm sale and cannot be refunded. If you are worried about your schedule, you can purchase closer to the date of the social, as tickets can be purchased right up to the start of the event.
Is there food and drink
Yes. We put out a range of finger food choices throughout the evening as well as provide a range alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Can I bring my own alcohol
No. Our venue is fully licensed. All alcohol is to be supplied by us and will be served by staff who have their RSA.
