Great wedding dance lessons in the Sydney CBD
Let William Maslin Dance Studios take care of your wedding dance. Our friendly teachers will work with you every step of the way to create your dream wedding dance.
Importantly, we want you to look great and feel comfortable allowing you to enjoy this very special time with your partner.
What to expect
Don’t feel daunted about the process. We keep it simple and enjoyable. Your complimentary first lesson is more about seeing how quickly you learn and understanding what you would like your dance to be like.
We’ll teach you some dance steps and see your natural ability and give you an idea of our teaching method.
At the end of this lesson we’ll provide you with some options and the price to consider, before you decide whether we are the studio for you.
Not sure where to start?
Not sure about anything? Don’t worry, because we’re here to help. Whether you want some advice or guidance on the song, style or even what to wear, our friendly staff are more than happy to help.
What style of dance or song should we choose?
There are two ways you can approach it. Choose a song that you like or means something special to you. The music will determine the style of dance.
The other option is to choose the style of dance and then pick songs that fit that style of dance. Either way, we’re happy help you.
Don’t worry, we teach 18 styles of dance, so we have your wedding dance covered.
When should we start taking our lessons?
The earlier the better. The last thing you want to do is leave your dance lessons to the last month and find out you don’t have enough time to take the lessons you need for your dream dance.
As your first lesson is complimentary, take it as early as you can, that way you can better plan your time before the wedding. Imagine needing 9 lessons for your dance and only having 4 weeks to do them, plus all of the stress from the overall wedding preparation in those last few weeks.
How much will it cost?
Everything we do at William Maslin Dance Studios is personalised, and that includes the price. Our price will reflect your dance. That said, if you do have a budget in mind for your dance, we’re always happy to advise what sort of dance you can get out of your budget.
How long are the lessons and how often should we take them?
The lessons are 50 minutes. You schedule them at a time and day that suits you. As a studio with full time staff, you’ll have the same teacher throughout your dance regardless of which day of the week you book. And if you need to change your lesson, that’s fine too.
As for how often you should take them, varies from couple to couple, ability and whether or not you are willing to commit to your regular practise. As a general guide, once a week is the optimum, but fortnightly is doable. Any further apart than that and you’ll spend the majority of your lesson revising what you learnt in the previous lesson.
